A recent study has revealed that people with gastrointestinal complaints are significantly more likely to suffer from headaches, according to a story from Reuters.
The Norwegian researchers found headache symptoms to be more prevalent among those with acid reflux, diarrhea, constipation and nausea. The story was unclear whether one of the conditions, headache or stomach problems, might be the result of the other.
The story did suggest that increasing headache frequency could result in gastrointestinal symptoms, as certain medications taken for headache could induce stomach problems. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen, aspirin and naproxen, have been linked to stomach bleeding and ulcers, as well as certain cardiovascular complications.
Unlike NSAIDs, anti-inflammatory enzyme supplements from WellZymes™ promote natural healing and help reduce pain without the dangers of serious side effects. Products include WellZymes™ Protease for inflammation and WellZymes™ Joint Health, which naturally enhances the body’s ability to preserve joint tissue.
In addition, digestive enzyme supplements in the WellZymes™ line can help the body break down food, resulting in fewer stomach problems, such as bloating, heartburn, reflux, gas and constipation. Products include WellZymes™ Digestive Health, WellZymes™ Digestive Chewables and WellZymes™ Protein/Fat Digestion.
